Jesus Stops the Storm

Matt 8:23-27; Mark 4:1,35-41

Tell your child the bible story(Jesus Stops the Storm) before doing the craft.

Point to Make:I can ask Jesus for help because of His great power.

Learning the Idea:In this bible story, Jesus and His friends were in a big storm. Jesus' friends were very afraid. But Jesus told the storm to stop, and it did! Jesus helped His friends when they were afraid. Let's make some stormy pictures to remind us of Jesus' great power and help.

Craft:Storm Pictures

Supplies Needed:

1/2 inch wide foil strips
cotton balls
construction paper in dark blue or gray colors
glue

Have your child make storm scenes by bending foil into lightening zigzags and stretching out cotton balls to make clouds. Have your child glue the lightening and clouds to the paper. Your child can add glitter glue to make sparkly raindrops if she/he likes.
