Easter Garden

Easter garden story in scripture:Matt 28:1-10, Luke 22:2; 23:33-24:9, John 19:38-42

Tell your child the bible story(easter garden in the scriptures above) before completing the craft.

Point to Make:I can thank God that Jesus is alive.

Learning the Idea:In this bible story, Jesus' friends went to a garden. They wanted to see the place where Jesus was buried. But Jesus wasn't there. God had made Jesus alive! Jesus' friends were glad to know that Jesus is alive. Let's make a garden to remind us that Jesus is alive!

Craft Idea:The empty tomb in the garden.

Supplies Needed:
Bible
large sheet of butcher paper
crayons or markers
popped popcorn or cotton balls
glue

On the butcher paper, draw a garden scene with a tomb and one or two large trees with bare branches. Have your child color the scene with crayons or markers and then glue popcorn or cotton balls to the tree branches to make blossoms.
