Jesus Lives Today

Jesus lives today story from the scriptures: Matt 28:16-20, Luke 24:50-53; John 21:1;14, Acts 1:3-11

Tell your child the bible story before completing the craft.

Point to Make:I'm glad Jesus is alive and always with me.

Learning the Idea:In this bible story, Jesus came to see His friends while they were fishing. Jesus helped them fill their nets with lots of fish! Jesus' friends were glad Jesus is alive. Jesus promised to always be with them. Let's make fishing pictures to remind us of this story.

Craft Idea:Let's go fishing

Supplies Needed:
Bible
Light blue construction paper
markers
3x6-inch paper rectangle cut-outs for boats
glue
6 inch nylon net fabric squares for fish nets(I just use the netting arond oranges from the grocery store)
fish shaped crackers

Have your child draw waves on blue paper and glue boats and one corner of fishnets onto paper. Your child can then glue fish crackers in waves or under nets. Your child could also draw stick figure fishermen on the boats.
