For more spring, summer and Father's Day craft ideas for kids please visit www.create-kids-crafts.com and www.discover-preschool-activities.com 1.Easy Bead Coaster for Father's Day What You Need: Pony beads, white glue, shallow lid (we used a frosting lid). How You Make It: Fill inside of lid with a layer of glue. Pour in beads. Move beads around so they are close together, adding more beads until you have a solid surface of beads. Let dry overnight (glue will dry clear). 2.Craft stick picture frame for Father's Day 3.Child's no-bake clay handprint gift What You Need: 3/4 cup salt, 2 cups flour, 3/4 cup water, 1/2 teaspoon alum powder, mixing supplies, paint, paintbrush, pointy object (paper clip, toothpick, etc.) to write name and date. How You Make It: Mix dry ingredients in bowl, add water gradually and knead dough. Form into ball, flatten to about 1/2" to 3/4" thick and even out edges using your hands or a plastic knife. Child presses hand, with fingers apart, into clay. Adult can etch name and date with pointy object, or paint it on later. Let dry (at least overnight) and paint. 4. Tips and Quotes Tips:-Rather than merely providing children with materials to work independently, craft as a family. Turn the TV off once a week and make an afternoon of it! Your children will look forward to this special time with you more than you will ever know. The pride that your children feel in their accomplishments will let you know that this has been an afternoon well spent.
